Getting Started as a Host
Hosts create and manage chess tournaments at their venues. To become a host, create or join an organisation and add your venue.

Pairings
Bar Blitz uses the Swiss system for pairings. Before each round:
- Click Generate Pairings to create the next round
- Review the pairings and make adjustments if needed
- Publish the round to notify players
Entering Results
After each game is finished, enter the result:
- Go to your venue page and click Create Tournament
- Set the tournament name, date and time
- Choose the time control (Blitz or Rapid) and number of rounds
- Set the maximum number of players
- Publish the tournament to make it visible
- 1-0 — White wins
- 0-1 — Black wins
- ½-½ — Draw
- 1-0 (forfeit) — Black forfeits
- 0-1 (forfeit) — White forfeits
Managing Your Venue
Each venue has its own page with upcoming and past tournaments, a photo gallery and location details.
- Upload photos from your events
- Update venue information (address, opening hours)
- View tournament statistics for your venue
Organisation Roles
Within an organisation, there are different permission levels:
- Owner — Full control over the organisation, venues and members
- Admin — Can manage tournaments and venues
- Host — Can create and run tournaments at assigned venues
