Accounts & Profiles
Click Sign Up on the homepage. You can register with your email or use Google Sign-In.
Go to your profile settings and enter your FIDE ID in the designated field. An organisation admin can then verify it against the official FIDE database.
Your username is set when you create your account and cannot be changed. You can update your display name at any time.
Tournaments
Bar Blitz uses the Swiss system for pairings. Players are paired based on their current score, with higher-scoring players meeting each other. The system avoids repeat matchups and alternates colours.
You can unregister from a tournament before it starts. If the tournament has already started, contact the host to withdraw.
Bar Blitz uses the standard Elo rating formula with a K-factor of 32 for regular players. Your rating updates automatically after each completed tournament.
Hosting
Create or join an organisation, then add your venue. Once your venue is set up, you can create tournaments.
Yes. Each venue can have multiple upcoming and past tournaments. You can run weekly or monthly events on a regular schedule.
After completing all rounds, go to the tournament admin page and click Export TRF. Make sure all player data is complete before exporting.
